I co-directed and provided art direction for one of The Home Depot’s Retool Your School program winners.
The Home Depot’s Retool Your School program strives to give back to our nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) by focusing on three pillars of community: a strong foundation, renewed purpose, and distinctive character. With support from The Home Depot, the grants awarded from the Retool Your School program give schools an opportunity to make upgrades to their campuses.
I was in charge of providing creative direction for the highlight video. This involved created a story board for the flow of the video as well as being on location to ensure that the footage captured was brand standard for The Home Depot.
The Home Depot also explored furthering their “Retool Your School” initiative to extending it to home goods. They called it “Retool Your Home” and wanted to push this initiative via social media. I created Instagram ads that would work in carousel form to capture this marketing effectively.
